Boat to EPCOT from Boardwalk

Do we need our park passes or proof of resort to ride the boat from EPCOT to the Boardwalk and back? Also, where is boarding for the boat in EPCOT? Thanks!!!:mickey:

You really don't need anything to get on the boat from Epcot to the boardwalk except if you plan on going back into Epcot, you will need your park ticket.

The dock is between the UK and France when walking around the world showcase. Hope this helps :mickey:

You do not need identification to ride any Disney transportation.

The boat connecting Epcot and the Disney-MGM Studios is outside the International Gateway entrance to the World Showcase, between the France and United Kingdom pavilions.

Along the way, the boat stops at the BoardWalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin.

If you just want to go for a relaxing boat ride, you can even ride all the way to MGM.

I find it much faster to walk, but the boat ride is nice to do once.

As you leave EPCOT between the UK and France, head towards the left - along the water with an awning. You'll very easily see the boat launch for MGM (and other stops).

The EPCOT to MGM launch stops at the BW first, so it's not a very long ride.

We've used this service several times - and have never been asked for resort ID.

In total, boat takes about 25-30 minutes from one park to the other. The route is: MGM, Swan/Dolphin, BC/YC, BW, EPCOT.

At MGM, when you exit the turnstiles, most people head RIGHT to the buses. If you want the boat, exit the turnstiles and keep LEFT. You'll walk a short distance along the water and find a canopy waiting area - usually with people waiting there. This is the boat launch (the small dock area gives it away!). :mickey:

During our last trip, we took this boat several times from MGM to Epcot. It was very relaxing and you can sit outside or in the A/C inside.

After riding this, the Yacht and Beach Club look like they might be hosting us next trip!
