My son is a budding artist and would be thrilled to do this. :artist:I haven't heard about dining with an Imangineer lately so I am wondering if it's still available.

Yes they do and all the info is available in Info Central here (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/dining/animator.asp).

He might prefer the "Lunch with an Artist" or both.

Dining with an Imagineer is usually offered with a lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30am at the Disney-MGM Studios in the private Bamboo Room at the Hollywood Brown Derby and sometimes a dinner option at Artist Point at 5:30 pm in the Wilderness Lodge on alternating Thursday evenings.

The dinner is more expensive at $89 + tax and gratuity ages 10+ (an optional wine pairing dinner is available for $110 per person + tax and gratuities) or $40 for guests ages 3-9.

There is a recommended age for guests 14 and above (like the behind the scenes tours in order to help preserve the magic) but kids are certainly welcome and there was a report a few months ago by Intercot member kid_at_heart who took his 8 year old son to the lunch with an Imagineer that you can read here:

Also, I believe you can book this now up to 60 days in Advance.

However, the Dining with a Disney Artist program was discontinued for a few years (I think it was December 2003) with the closing of Walt Disney Feature Animation's offices in Florida.
