Hi all,
I want to make a consumer complaint about AT&T. I'm not going into the story here - but it comes down to their billing practices for their combined bills (eg. Cingular, Internet, and phone combined). I want to make sure I enter my complaint with the correct organization.

Can you steer me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.
Cathy

I don't know if I can be of too much help, but I can tell you I faced a similar situation with Cingular after they purchased AT&T Wireless - problem with billing and servie area. After trying my best to work it out, I went through my local Better Business Bureau. My contact at the BBB told me I stood very little chance of getting any satisfaction from a cell phone company because of how tricky the contracts are. But, due to the persistence of my contact at the BBB, I finally did win my case. I have nothing but glowing praise for the way they handled my case.

Not sure if they can help out like they did for me, but it can't hurt to file an official complaint through them. Good luck! I know firsthand how difficult these sorts of things can be!

You should post your complaint at MyBiggestComplaint (http://mybiggestcomplaint.com).

You can file a formal complaint with the FCC as they govern phone companies, and they do take it very seriously when complaints are filed, and they can get fined hundreds of thousands of dollars if complaints are not handled in a proper time frame. I know this because I used to work in the consumer complaint division of a huge phone company (and it was the worst job I have ever had).
