Spaceship Earth dates? [Merged Threads]

Any press releases I read about the Spaceship Earth refurb says the enahnced attraction will open early 2008. However, everywhere I look for a list of refurb dates, it says SE will only be down until November 1st. Any ideas?

As I understand it, the entire rehab will not be finished until early next year but that includes all of the updates to the activities in the post show area. The updates to the ride should be finished by early November.

Now I'm confused - We'll be there Nov 5-9. So the ride refurbishments will be done but will it be open since they would still be doing the post-ride area refurbishments? ? :unsure:

Spaceship Earth will be closed for refurbishment; June 22 - 23, 2007 and July 9 - November 1, 2007. The press releases refer to the completion of the "whole" reimagining project.

The stages of the project are:

1)Partial New Post-Show (Spring 2007)
2)New Attraction (Late Fall 2007)
3)Full New Post-Show (Spring 2008)


Now I'm confused - We'll be there Nov 5-9. So the ride refurbishments will be done but will it be open since they would still be doing the post-ride area refurbishments? ? :unsure:The only portion of the attraction to be closed post November 1, 2007 is a portion of the Post-Show.

The post ride area is already open. They are adding a few more attractions to the area but nothing that would make it necessary to close the ride down. The ride closing is due to refurbishment/uprgrades being done to the ride and new scenes being changed and added.

To my knowledge there have been no dates release yet of when it will go down and for how long yet.

Now I am confused. We plan to visit Epcot (my partners first time at WDW :thumbsup: ) on July 7. I was looking forward to starting his Disney experience on Spaceship Earth. I was disappointed to see on another site that it would be closed :(, but if I am reading rehabs right it could be open. Is there a chance he will get to ride it?? And what does "seasonal operation" at Wonders of Life mean? Missing Body Wars doesnt bother me as much as missing SE, but it would be nice to know if we could include it or not.

Acoording to Intercot's Info Central, Spaceship Earth will close on June 22& 23, re-open and then close for a longer refurb on July 9. Here's the link if you want to check out other closures.
