MerlinMagic - It takes less time for you to get to England than it does to get to Hawaii. Once you fly out of CA to Hawaii, it is a 6 hr flight over the Pacific Ocean (first you have to endure a 6-7 hr flight to CA). Once you leave MA, it's a 6 hr flight over the Atlantic Ocean to England. :thumbsup:

Australia on the other hand is a very long flight. I would have to have at least a business class seat. I believe (with layovers) it's about a 24 hr trip. Plus they are 24 hours ahead of us. (I think)

Oh yeah, I forgot I put Hawaii as I added that last comment! Yes, I will probably never go to Hawaii either :) My husband's cousin just went to Australia and it was indeed 22 or 24 hours.

I noticed alot of you put Alaska. I went 4 years ago. I LOVE it there!!!! I wish I could live there. It's so beautiful. You could spend your whole life there and still never see all of it. Alaska is 2.5 times bigger than Texas.

I want to go to Ireland and DH does not. He wants to go to England and I don't. Guess we'll be taking separate European vacations;). Well it's only fair - he was born in England - same county that Stonehedge is in. My father's family comes from Ireland. I'm only the 2nd generation to be born in America.

We're doing number 10 in late July.

Wow, I've had the travel bug for over a year now, but circumstances have me limited to lovely New England at the moment.

I've been thinking of this for a while now, though I can't seem to put these in any order, but they are all great places.

* An African Safari.

* Italy, especially Rome, Venice, and Naples.

* Switzerland. The Swiss Alps are calling me, I can hear them...

* Hawaii.

* Australia.

* Brazil, or any part of the Amazon Jungle.

* Canada, everywhere from Nova Scotia to the Pacific Coast.

* A Danube Cruise through Eastern Europe.

* Mexico and The Caribbean.

* Every State in the U.S.A.!

Shelby-
I've always been fascinated by Antartica, cold yes, but I think it would be such an amazing experience. I read a book by one of my favorite young adult authors years ago that talked a lot about the beauty in Antartica and that just cemented my wish to go there someday ... now if I could just convince DH.

1 - The Mackenzie Delta in the NWT of Canada
2 - Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and the outer region
3 - Nairobi, Kenya to go on Safari
4 - Tokyo, Japan

It is unlikely that I will ever see any of these things, but in a perfect world I would one day. I think I've done everything else I've wanted to.
