The Digital Animation Control System (DACS), located in the tunnels below the Magic Kingdom, controls the movements, speech, and expressions of the more than 1,600 Audio-Animatronics figures in the park. In addition, it also controls sound effects, background music, park lighting system, fire detection system, security system, as well as opening theater doors. That adds up to more than 72,000 individual functions every second.
