June 7, 1975 – WDW’s “Mission to Mars” opened in Tomorrowland replacing “Flight to the Moon”. (Closed Oct. 4, 1993)
June 7, 1979 – The Disney Featurette “Footloose Fox” was released.
June 7, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired episode 33 of MMC. “Today is Anything Can Happen Day!”
June 7, 1990 – The Disney Channel’s Premiere film “Back Home” aired.
June 7, 1994 – The Disney Channel TV series “Walt Disney World Inside Out” began airing.
June 7, 1998 – Disney’s Broadway show “The Lion King” won 6 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Director, Choreography, Scenic Design, Costume Design, and Lighting Design.
June 7, 1999 – “Bear in the Big Blue House-Live on Stage” opened at Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
June 7, 2001 - By this day all Met Life references were removed from the Wonders of Life Pavilion.
