WL standard or Boardwalk Inn Standard?

My husband and I have ressies at CBR 9-22 through 9-29. We decided tonight that we might want to upgrade to a deluxe resort. We are debating btwn WL and Boardwalk INN...both standard rooms (though a free upgrade wouldn't hurt:mickey:)
I like the rooms at WL better (at least from photos) but we like the atmosphere and the location of the boardwalk.

WHat are the pros and cons of each resort if you have stayed there?

Wilderness Lodge
Pros:
Boat to MK
The resort is just beautiful inside & out
Multiple dining options in the lobby.

Cons:
It just feels a little out of the way to me.


Boardwalk Inn
Pros:
LOCATION!!
Evening entertainment
Large theme pool area
Lots of Dining choices

Cons:
The shops & restaurants are outside on the boardwalk
Shared buses with other epcot resorts

WL:
Pros:
Incredible theming and attention to detail
A lobby to behold
2 very different (and good) sit down restaurants
Proximity to MK
Beach w/ Electric Water Pageant at night
Very nice pool
Marina on site
Walk (nice trails) to FW
Proximity to HDDR
"Self contained" resort - all under one roof

Cons:
Off the beaten path
Slow boat to (China ;)) MK
Shared buses with other resorts (at times)
Insufficient CS (IMHO)
Small pool for the size of the resort


BW:
Pros:
Location to EPCOT & MGM
BW evening entertainment
Proximity to several other resorts
Proximity to an abundance of dining
Large pool
Small but elegant lobby
Late night options on hand

Cons:
Having to go "outside" for most simplistic things - like coffee
No real CS

Don't forget the $100 per night difference between WL standard and Boardwalk standard. Personally, I love the WL theme and dislike the Boardwalk theme. I would probably stay at WL even if the rates were the same.

Unfortunately, I think the decision has already been made for you. The Epcot Food & Wine festival begins on September 28th and I don't think there is any availability at the Boardwalk starting on that date.

We finally upgraded from CBR king room to BWI standard....so excited...choose BWI because we were going to be spending a lot of time in that area anyways so could not beat the convience factor.:cloud9:
