May 30, 1932 – Disney Legend Dick Nunis was born in Cedartown, Ga. From 1967-1974 he would serve as chairman of the Park Operations Committee, and in 1968, be bumped up to Vice President of Operations. By 1971 Nunis would be named Executive Vice President of WDW and Disneyland.
May 30, 1936 – Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoon “Thru The Mirror” was released.
May 30, 1941 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “Canine Caddy” was released.
May 30, 1947 – Disney’s Figaro cartoon “Figaro and Frankie” was released.
May 30, 1953 – Disney’s animated Donald Duck short “Don’s Fountain of Youth” was released.
May 30, 1956 – The Disneyland TV series featured “Behind the Scenes with Fess Parker.” (Parker was the star of Disney’s Davy Crockett and later portrayed Daniel Boone).
May 30, 1958 – Walt Disney used the cast of his new TV series “Zorro” for the 2nd of a 3-day cross promotion with live appearances at Disneyland. In addition to parades each day, the stars, Guy Williams, Henry Calvin, Gene Sheldon, and Britt Lomond, appeared in 4 live daily shows. Three of the shows featured a running battle between Zorro and Monastaio on the roof tops of Frontierland. The 4th show each day was held in Frontierland’s Magnolia Park, with Williams appearing as Don Diego.

of trees.
May 30, 1989 – Actress Tempestt Bledsoe (of The Cosby Show) appeared on the Disney Channel’s 27th episode of MMC. “Today is Guest Day!”
May 30, 1997 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures Film “Gone Fishin” was released.
