Has anyone gone to story time? Is it worth making reservations for or not?

we are going to be making ressies for this for our upcoming trip. I have heard that ressies are needed, but haven't personally been to one yet. The only thing that I don't like is that they can't tell you who will be there. If it's the fairy godmother or someone else that my kids are less familiar with, I think that it wouldn't be as worth the time, but since you don't know I guess that the only way to find out is to go.
