Thanksgiving week crowds?

Hello all -
Info Central says that the days leading up to Thanksgiving are "the next best time to visit" in terms of crowds - but it doesn't list what Thanksgiving Day and the days following are like. Any ideas?

Our other time we're considering is Dec. 14 -
20th.
Which would have lighter crowds?

The Dec 14-20 would probably be slightly lower on crowds, but not by much. The week of Thanksgiving is fairly crowded, but it's not too bad Sunday-Wednesday. Wednesday evening the crowds really pick up and Thanksgiving Day through the following Sunday is pretty packed.

It should list Thanksgiving as one of the busiest days of the year. I think it's an oversight not to mention it. Also, I disagree with Info Central that it's not busy right up until Thanksgiving. I've found very high crowd levels from the weekend before Thanksgiving straight through to the weekend after, and then it drops off significantly. But that's just my observation and not an official crowd count.

Thanksgiving week is very busy. I'd choose another time to visit if possible.
