My mother is considering this hotel for her honeymoon in late September. Has anyone had any experience with this hotel or know anything about it?

I was working out of town and stayed there for 2 weeks. Its Okay. Not the fanciest in the world, but its clean. It has a restaurant and bar in it. Has a pool. It is walking distance to the Casino, Falls and Hard Rock Cafe. The rainbow bridge to canada is very close also. I had some coworkers who walked over to Caanada a few times. They say the Canadian side has lots more to do. The american side is kind of boring, not much to do. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. I think she will like the idea of being able to walk to the Canadian side. They both have passports already, so it shouldn't be a problem.

If I were going on my honeymoon, I would consider Niagra On the Lake, on Lake Ontario in Canada. It is far less commercial, nice shops and restaurants, close to wine tasting, the floral clock and other local attractions. It is not a long ride to the downtown area--which is quite commercial and like a boardwalk/midway. (While downtown, I wouldn't miss Maid of the Mist, but I would skip the behind the falls attraction.) I think Niagra on the Lake is far more romantic than the downtown area for a honeymoon couple.
Best wishes to your mother and her future husband.

How far is Niagara on the Lake from Niagara Falls?

We were just up there a couple weeks ago. It is maybe a 15 minute drive. We got the Adventure Pass, which includes the Maid of the Mist (don't miss this one!), White Water Walk, (which was okay), Journey Behind the Falls (wouldn't have done this one on its own), and the Butterfly Conservatory (pretty cool). The best part is that it includes the bus transportation that takes you to all these attractions! We stayed at the Brock Hotel (we were in Marilyn Monroe's room!), which was very nice. Rooms were smaller than your average hotel room these days, but it was a nice room.

We just got back Monday from NF & N-o-t-L.

Yes, there is only about a 15 minute drive between them. The wine region of N-o-t-L is wonderful! Something DH and I have been wanting to do is take a couples cooking class at Strewn winery - we had lunch there on Saturday and it was wonderful!

N-o-t-L has alot of bed & breakfasts, We stayed at the River Vine a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, it was our first B&B experience.

Overall though, I think I like staying in the downtown area of the falls.

This past weekend we spent 2 nights 'downtown' and 1 night at the Great Wolf Lodge. We drove across to the US Friday nights, no problems at all thru customs, we declared a BBQ on the way back 2.5 hours later, paid duty and were free to go.

Sorry I can't help you with the Sheraton!
