How does the MVMCP work? I realize that you buy tickets and later at the party you get a bracelet...but what happens to the other people without tickets? Do they have to leave or are they able to stay just to watch the parade and shows? Just trying do figure out how it works. Thanks! :santa:

We did the MVMCP last year and it was pretty fun. The park does close to those not attending the event, there is a special cost involved, you do get a special wrist band when you use your special ticket to enter the park. All guests not attending the event are asked to leave. Cast members walk through the park all evening and check wristbands-no wrist band earns you a personal escort to the gate. You can't even book ADR's in the park unless you are attending the event. TONS of guest attend the event, the park is no less crowded at the start of the party. Since it goes so late, the crowd did thin when we were there, after the parade and such. We walked on to most rides that we wanted and wait times were greatly reduced as the evening moves along. There are complimentary snacks, there's snow on Main Street, special photopass photo ops-they even give you a separate/special photopass. It's worth the extra money at least once to try the experience. Kids will love it. We're married with no kids and we enjoyed it as well, but will likely not repeat unless we have newbies with us on a future trip and it's something they want to do. Hope that is helpful info for you!

Other people are asked to leave. They won't even let you in a souvenir shop right before the party officially starts. This probably depends on the CM, but we were leaving the Emporium before a party and I thought my DH and DD7 were waiting outside of the shop. Come to find out, they had waited inside. The CM at the door would not let me in to tell them I was done shopping and it was time to go. I could not believe how rude she was.

So, I do suggest buying a ticket if you want to see any of the fun stuff. They also check wrist bands in the character lines.
