Off-Site Hotel for the Sat after Thanksgiving

We have reservations at POP from Nov. 25th to Dec. 2nd. We are driving to Fl from PA, leaving on the 23rd. We have three small children, so we will be taking our time, but we think we should be in Orlando on the 24th. Is there any off-site hotels close by that you can recommend? How bad will it be to find something without a reservation? We do not want to make one because God forbid we do not make it that far on the 24th. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would try any of the resorts in the DTD area...we are staying at the Sheraton Safri Suites and there reservation requirement allows for a cancellation up to the day of check in. If you are not going to make it, stop and call them. It is not real expensive if you book online. I think we are getting a Queen suite for $109 per night. I know that Thanksgiving is one of the busier days in WDW so you might be out of luck without a reservation.
