Day 6 Wednesday April 25

Animal Kingdom day! Met up with Launchpad (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2495236930056953537NAGEPm?vhost=family) on the way in and then made our way to Africa to get fast passes for Safari. Then we went to camp Minnie Mickey just in time to catch Festival of Lion King (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2000854980056953537OBujzX?vhost=family) and Pocahontas (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2919562030056953537dZSeSw?vhost=family). Then it was off to our Safari (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2238639960056953537zxuAFM?vhost=family) followed by a walk through the Pangani (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2651489800056953537BxvOun?vhost=family) Forest. Then we headed over to Rafiki's (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2321102340056953537rrqsDY?vhost=family) Planet Watch for a bit. Very interesting over there. We had a good time. Then we got back on train and went to see ITTBAB followed by Nemo the Musical. This was an amazing show. Much longer than I expected!

We left park after Nemo to head over to AKL for my parent's 50th Anniversary Dinner at Boma (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2483339110056953537otKJMu?vhost=family)! Dinner was amazing and our waitress brought this (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2532799250056953537FKUHeP?vhost=family) to my parents after dinner to help celebrate their 50th. It was a wonderful evening. We took time to wander outside at AKL to take in the animals and atmosphere, then it was back to resort for a swim.

Day 7 Thursday April 26

This morning my Father and I got up bright and early to head to MK for 7:15 am as we had reserved the magic Behind our Steam Trains tour. My father is a model railroader so he was very excited about this tour. We met our Tour Guide (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2831497760056953537SdHSTk?vhost=family) out front and had opportunity to get some great pics of the train (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2086203020056953537kYVmUb?vhost=family) parked in front of the station (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2015373170056953537ASoxiq?vhost=family) . Then we went into park and got a picture you don't get very often. It is Main Street (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2630930590056953537Evepae?vhost=family) with no guests! What a wonderful sight! We all boarded the train and my father was picked to be the guest conductor (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2386427330056953537NiaoKe?vhost=family). He was thrilled to be able to do this. He got to say All Aboard and help conductor do line switch when we arrived at the roundhouse (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2148094340056953537ZacWNI?vhost=family) . We toured the roundhouse and our guide was full of amazing stories about Walt and the Steam Trains. I highly recommend this tour if you are the least bit interested in trains or WDW history! We were able to get lots of up close (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2703886030056953537ElmViT?vhost=family) pictures with the trains and also able to get right up into the engine (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2628530540056953537rNCDJa?vhost=family). All in all....a fantastic morning. We were given special pins for taking tour.

Meanwhile...my Mom and boys arrived at MK for EMH and while dad and I were riding the Steam Trains (tour was from 7:30 until about 10:30) they were taking in the EMH attractions (Buzz , Speedway, Splash, POTC, BTMRR). We met in front of Speedway and headed to Main Street to see Dream along with Mickey (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2191124610056953537HXKCyo?vhost=family) show in front of the castle (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2168998360056953537SAyOBE?vhost=family) . We ate hot dogs from Casey's while watching show.

The it was back to resort for a bit to relax and swim for afternoon. It was very hot. Actually it was hot our whole trip with temps 89-92 most of it! We grabbed dinner at food court and then headed back to MK in evening to go on Splash, see the Country Bears (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2328016430056953537XYPoyQ?vhost=family) and visit with the Genie (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2059508650056953537AhUIkd?vhost=family) before finding our spot for Spectromagic (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2910456170056953537kFCVRX?vhost=family) and Wishes (http://family.webshots.com/photo/2122370370056953537GviqKP?vhost=family). A wonderful end to our day!
