I like the Earl of Sandwich. Long lines, but they move quickly.

Yep . . . Earl of Sandwiche. Personally, I like it better than most of the sit down places in DTD.

I have to agree with Earl of Sandwich too. We ate there for the first time on our last trip. The service is fast, the food is affordable and delicious. You can't beat that!

Wolfgang Puck Express! We love that place!

I would have loved to have tried Earl of Sandwich but when we headed over there Thanksgiving week, you needed a Fastpass the lines were so long! ;)

Three little words...

 Earl of Sandwich!

MMMMM-mmmmmmm. And I know the lines can look scary at times, but I hope nobody lets that deter them...they really do move pretty quickly and are so worth it!

I haven't tried Earl Of Sandwich, but Wolfgang Puck Express was WONDERFUL!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I still can't get over the fact that my VERY picky little brother (9yrs) ate butternut squash soup with a quesadilla! He was hesitant, but man...he devoured it!

I can see why. That soup was so amazing. I can still taste it when I close my eyes. I can't wait to go back! :eat:

Earl of Sandwich is our favorite, as well. It beats out Wolfgang Puck Express by a little for one reason...it travels so well. When we go to WDW, and have the DDP, we eat big table meals and use all our snacks up. We often have some counter service meals left over. On the last day, we stop at Earl's and use the rest of our counter meals to get sandwiches and cookies. We live just south of Atlanta and the sandwiches are still good when we get ready for a late supper! Yummy!!

My votes also go to Earl of Sandwich and to Wolfgang Puck's Express. Both wonderful! And unique.

Haven't tried Earl of Sandwich. However, we usually do Cheesecake Express/Food Quest on the 4th & 5th floor of Disney Quest, and it's always great! Of course you will need admission to Disney Quest to be able to access it.

BEST CS I've ever had (WDW or elsewhere).
Don't normally eat Bleu chz, but found myself ordering the Beef and Bleu... OMG is all I can say about it. I can STILL taste it!!!
Weight Watchers or not... I AM going to have another one (or two... not at the same time;) ) when we're down again in January!!!!!!!!
Ah, I can barely wait...

My favorites at DTD:
First place = Earl of Sandwich for sure.
Close Second - Cooke's of Dublin.
Third Place - Wolfgang Puck Express (west side)
Fourth Place - anything else that doesn't have a big golden "M"

EARL OF SANDWICH!!!

We just tried it this last trip in July '06 for the first time. Between the six of us, we have now tried every sandwich on the menu and have loved them all. The lines are long but always move fast. It's just a great place.:mickey:

Earl of Sandwich is closer to Team Mickey, the large toy store (on the tip of my tongue!) and Rainforest Cafe.:mickey:

Earl is right next to the DTD Pin Central (Market Place)
Puck Cafe has two locations, one at the east end of Market Place next to the kitchen store (Gourmet Pantry) and one at West Side next to HoB inside the Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

We love EoS.

In Jan, they said they didn't have Chicken Salad Sandwiches anymore. Was that just a seasonal thing?

Does anyone know if they've brought it back?

By the way, the HOT tomato soup used to be $.99.. now its nearly 2 bucks.. thanks DDP.

For those on the Dining Plan who want to use a counter service credit at Wolfgang Puck Express, only the WP Express in the Marketplace takes the Dining Plan. My sister and I found this out last year. We originally went to the one on the West Side and were told that only the Marketplace Express location accepted the Dining Plan.

Wolfgang Puck Express is one of my favorite counter service restaurants. Earl of Sandwich is very good, but I have not been to the Downtown Disney location, as I can eat the Earl of Sandwich located in Tampa when I visit my parents. I don't have any Wolfgang Puck Express locations near me or my parents so it is a treat for me at WDW.

Did some more research and they may have added the West Side Wolfgang Puck Express as part of the 2007 Dining Plan (I was last there in 2006). I won't be able to offically check until October, however, so would love to get confirmaton from fellow Intercotees :eat: . Personally, I hope it is added as while the menu at the Marketplace was good, the menu at the West Side location had more items and looked even better.

The West Side WP is part of the Dining plan now as a table service, while the Marketplace Express version is still a CS.

Still no answer on my EoS question about the Chicken Salad Sandwiches...?

Sorry, didn't see it. There is a chicken salad sandwich currently on the menu.

I'm so glad that I read this thread, because I was wondering the very same thing that was originally asked. I think I'm going to try Earl of Sandwich. I've been to Wolfgang Express and I really liked it, but I want to try something new. So, now I will! Thanks!

Hands down, Earl of Sandwich. We eat there two or three times each trip.

We really enjoyed Wolfgang's Express last September. My DD4 said they had the best chicken fingers she had ever had, and this kid knows chicken fingers! We plan on going back this year in September again. We are also planning on eating at Earl of Sandwich. We haven't tried it, but I have yet to see a bad review other than the lines being long!
