This may have already been asked but I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a list of locations of all the pressed penny and quarter machines. My DD will be 3 and I thought they would be a great souvenir for her since she loves to watch them at zoos and other places. I also collect them but I would actually like to get entire sets this time.

Check it out here in Intercot's Info. Central under the Miscellaneous heading:

Have fun and be warned, this can be a very addictive past-time!!

I'm pretty sure the lists are also available at Guest Relations at each of the parks.

Not sure if you knew this, but Disney sells pressed penny books, they're $6 or $8, maybe. They hold I think 64 pennies. Was easy to slide into my bag and kept all the pennies together!

i know tink&cin knows this, but the books have been getting smaller (not as many places) and more expensive :( i miss the old ones... ah well you need somewhere to go with em, right? and has anyone else heard that they may be discontinuing the quarters? i noticed many older quarter machines gone in Jan, and asked a CM and they said they thought that Disney was discontinuing them, and i do believe the new books have no quarter slots.... any news on that?

and i was just wondering how many other ppl are crazy enough to actually look up where to collect the last one in a series?? i have all the princess's now (finally!)

They don't make books for the quarters anymore, I know that much. And the slots in the penny books will not hold the quarters. Oh, and I checked the price...$6.50.

As for crazy, I found myself with some time on my hands and proceeded to print out all the penny pages from Intercot. Then I went through DD's collection and marked what she has, so when we go back in Sept, I can take the checklist and a blank penny book, instead of a 3/4 full one. LOL Seems kind of pointless to take an almost-full book.

I know, I know, I'm a lunatic.

When my son was 5 we ran all over the parks collecting as many diffrent pressed pennies and quarters as possible. I wish we had bought a second book because we ran out of room (that was almost 4 years ago) Now he is not so interested in them but when I go to the parks I look at the machines and always wonder if I have that particular one or not!

We have 6 Disney books full, 1 Sea World book, 1 Rainforest Cafe book and 2 Universal books full of pressed pennies. Not even close to completeing all of the sets. There are so many different pressed pennies that we have pretty much given up on them. Getting out of control and too expensive!

See, but you're organized about it. We just bought DD one penny book (from WDW), and every penny she gets goes in there. She has lots from Sea World, RFC, even one that my mom had been carrying around for years, from some casino in atlantic city! LOL

Thankfully, Jenna just enjoys getting them, she's not really interested in completing sets. Thank goodness!

Course, she is only 4 and that could all change as she gets older.
