THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME PRE-TRIP REPORT
Dates: Friday May 18th to Friday May 25th, 2007
We're going to go by our real names. Its faster than trying to type DGF each time :) at least, in my opinion!
Me (Chris) - 23, radio-broadcaster, first trip back in 8 years!
Jen - 26, labour relations, first trip ever to WDW!
We started planning this trip a year ago when we were on a trip to Calgary, Alberta, also in Canada. It was my choice to go on this trip - but I had been aching to go back since I left in 1999. So I was able to show Jen enough stuff in 'the world' to make her want to go.
So we contacted one of the best agents in Winnipe for dealing with WDW...her name is Lisa. She hooked us up with a room at Pop Century for an entire week from May 18-25th. We put down our payments and were good to go!
Then Jen realized my birthday was on June 18th. She said as a birthday gift she would upgrade our hotel for 4 nights to one of the moderate resorts. She was trying to convice me to go to the Port Orleans Riverside, but then said the choice was up to me. So, having a love for steel drum music and the tropics (hey, living in Winnipeg, there are two seasons...mosquito..and blizzard) I decidded to stay in the Caribbean Beach Resort. I was there 8 years ago but I wanted to go back cause it was a LOT of fun.
Jen put in the request in for a room in the 50's at Pop Century on teh 4th floor facing the lake, and for the CBR, I requested a room in the Jamaica area.
Here's the way we have planned it so far. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE let us know! :)
