I booked our vacation through Disney. I was wondering if we are still eligible to partake in the storytime hour? I do have AAA. Thank you.

I think this is only a perk for booking through AAA. We did and got to make ressies for it. Also, you cannot use the AAA lounges unless you book through them. I tried last year and they wouldn't let us in except to use the bathrooms (I had a almost 3 y. o. at the time and they felt bad for me).
You can still cancel and rebook through AAA if you want to take advantage of their discounts and perks. Check to see if their price is better. Ours was!
Good Luck!

I too have noticed that the same price for Disney is the same AAA price. I would like to book thru Disney but if I get some extra AAA benefits, I'm going with them. I would like a list of "perks" if somebody knows them.

On our last trip, we got tickets to the story time (which we didn't have a chance to use), a card for discounts in DD (I can't recall exact details - it was only certain places), a free entree at planet hollywood (from a choice of 2, I believe), and a free keychain from PH. I hope I am not forgetting anything.

One thing is we never figured out where the lounge was.

I know AAA offers premium parking but that will do me no good as I am flying.

One thing is we never figured out where the lounge was.

From the AAA newsroom site:
The private AAA VIP Lounge in the Magic Kingdom Park where AAA Vacations guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary soft drink and relax.

This was last updated in 2004, so I don't know if it's still there. I don't know where it's located in the Magic Kingdom, but I thought I saw it by the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. I don't know if that's accurate now, though.

I, too, booked with AAA for my vacation. I have read a few things here and there about Story Time but in your opinion, do you think it appeals more to little kids? It's just my boyfriend and me going on this trip (we're both 21-22) - do you think this is something that we might possibly enjoy?

I booked through AAA too but had not heard anything about a lounge or additional discounts, or even storytime. Could someone let me know these details or where to find out more about them?

I didn't know anything about it until we got our packets in the mail - they came with all the tickets for the special stuff. If you have yours already, but don't have anything like that, contact your agent and ask. Otherwise, you'll probably have them in your packet like we did.

The AAA lounge entrance is right near the character greeting area towards the Contemporary side of Tomorrowland. I'll let you all know more info about our AAA stuff after our trip in July. Also, we saved about $2000 for 3 rooms at Poly and 10 nights with booking through AAA. Be sure to check the prices with an agent.
Good Luck!

We'll I know it is a good thing, but one of the reasons we signed up for AAA is the storytime and benies at Disney. I had no idea you have to book through them. I did call them and it is a little more through them plus you pay a $25 fee on top of that. I just figured that I could go there and bring my card and be able to partake in the story time with my kids. Thanks again.

We booked through AAA multiple times, but to this day, we have not used any of the perks (except maybe years ago, a free t-shirt at Planet Hollywood... not sure if that was AAA perk or not).

We booked back in February and we saved over $100 dollars AAA versus Disney. I also just called and checked on the prices of a 4 day (late Nov POFQ) and it was a little over $100 savings versus Disney). That is why we are going through AAA.

My aunt is a travel agent for AAA and a "Disney Specialist". More often than not, I get a better rate booking through AAA, but not always. The benefits include:

Preferred parking
Discount card for use at a couple places in DTD
Storytime
Luggage tag
Guide/map booklet
Lounge access
Hertz upgrade
Hertz child seat

We also got a free lanyard and pin in 2005, but I think that's been swapped out for the storytime. And sometimes they offer preferred viewing for some of the parades.

we booked our upcoming Sept trip with AAA and we are getting the following perks

~Certificates for a AAA storytime for each memeber of the family ** Note you must makes ressies for this but for my trip dates they are currently not open that far out. guess I'll have to wait until a little closer to the date

~ 1/2 hour free Sea Raycer boat rental when you buy an hour.

~ 15.00 or 15% I can't remeber which off of dining at Planet Hollywood

~ Luggage Tags

I think thats it at least from what the agent told me. I didn't know anythinga bout preferred viewing for Parades ect, but I also don't have my final paperwork, so I 'll have to wait and check it out. AAA was the same price as Majical Journeys so we went with AAA to get the little extra's!!

Also for the post above about going with boyfriend - It is a 20 minute story time with a Character Basically they take about 20 people for each sitting **note they are only currently doing these 2 days a week and only at specific times.*** It is a Character and they have no schedule of who it will be. They come and read a Disney story which I was told is about 20 mins. I would say it is more for kids, but who knows, you may enjoy it as well, and its a good chance to get a little quality time with a Character. My kids think it is pretty cool

SO......today I booked my trip for September thru AAA:woohoo: . I asked about "Storytime" and all she offered me was a description of what it was.....stories told by princesses. I asked her about the AAA lounge and she knew nothing about it. She did give me a pamphlet and a beautiful AAA Disney booklet. In there this is what it read about perks~
~AAA Diamond Parking-Preferred parking spaces at all threee parks
~Keepsake AAA vacations luggage tags
~Hertz rental car upgrade
~Hertz complimentary child seat
~Must see Must Do How To Guide (the one I am reading this off of)

It offers various discounts on things such as certain restaurants-spas at certain resorts-recreation and Disney tours.

There is a paragraph on "Disney's Story Time". It is offered in the Expo Hall Theatre in Town Square Exposition Hall in Magic Kingdom. Reservations, vouchers and park admission required. It does say that it's exclusive to "guests who purchase select AAA vacation packages".

I hope this helps. I haven't gotten my official package yet. I must assume I'll get that in a month or so. I checked the Disney price and the AAA was the same price for the exact same package. I figured that I better go there and at least be eligible for the perks.

I booked with AAA and received my packet about two weeks ago or so. Here's what is included:

Luggage Tags
$25 gift card (upon check-in)
Planet Hollywood $15 meal voucher
Miniature golf voucher
Sea Raycer offer voucher (get 90 minutes for the price of 60 minutes)
Disney's Story Time voucher

I haven't heard anything about the lounge either. I had no intention of making a reservation for Story Time, but if anyone finds out that there's some extra perks in doing so, I'll definitely make a reservation!

We are members of AAA and there is also a Diamond Card that saves 10% at The World of Disney Store, Fultons Crab House and some other restaurants. There are also spa service discounts, 15% off some tours. What we really like are the trip tick...that shows directions in detail with whatever road work that is going on. With our AAA savings, we saved 230.00 off our room rate. It is worth looking into.
