Wow, I found this very funny and decided to share it here. There is a Disneyland/Magic Kingdom knock off in Beijing, China called "BS Amusement Park" (even the title is hilarious ;)). The park includes a Fantasyland-style area, a Cinderella Castle look alike in the hub (titled "Shinderera" castle), and obvious exact copies of Disney characters..but get this, when asked about their Mickey and Minnie characters, they said "the character in fact is not a mouse, it is a cat with very large ears!"
:funny:

And the park's slogan: "Disneyland is too far away.. come to Beijing Shijingshan ("BS") Amusement Park"

Posting some links below so you all can take a look for yourself. If the links are a problem with mods, remove and I can send it by PM if you are interested.

I find it all kind of funny myself. It just goes to show that everyone wants a piece of Disney - some will go to crazy lengths to attain it!

Yeah, its crazy how the Chinese think they can just copy stuff like that and think its perfectly fine. The funny thing is that some Chinese actually think this is Disney. I guess this is what has been keeping Disney from building their own park on Mainland China.:(

I found several articles on the Internet about a theme park in China called Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park, which seemingly is breaking EVERY copyright law in terms of anything Disney, including the park characters! Here are some links?

To add insult to injury, their slogan is "Disneyland is Too Far Away". How they get away with this is beyond me!  :eek2:

Unfortunately, copyright and patent laws do not exist in China. They are free to duplicate and sell anything as a copy. The laws against it are so meaningless, it is crazy for them not to break them. For comparison sake, if it happened in the US, you would get a $5 fine and be encouraged to continue to do so.

Here we go again...
