Me: Jennifer (Galactic Hero -- 37yr old in a 60yr old body with a 12yr old approach!)
DH: Brian (39) – my partner in crime for 14 married years (on Apr 17) and numerous WDW adventures!
DS8: Harry – seasoned WDW veteran, lover of the shooting gallery and arcades – usually patient and accommodating older sibling.
DS3: Euan – knows his way around the parks – fan of Splash, Test Track, TTA and Spaceship Earth. “If he’s not running; he’s asleep!”

Day 5 – Tuesday April 24, 2007

Harry wanted to go to the Animal Kingdom today to ride Everest. So, after some food in the room, we were on our way. We went right over to EE, and the stand by line was at 10 minutes, so Brian and Harry went ahead. Euan and I contented ourselves in our usual way – by perusing the shop and using stickers. They returned from riding in the front car (Harry LOVED that) and we headed over to Dinoland USA. My big boys decided since Euan liked the Tower of Terror so much, he would LOVE Dinosaur. I had my doubts, but agreed and we rode. It was a walk on, and of course the big boys were right – and although I wouldn’t say Euan LOVED Dinosaur --- he definitely enjoyed it a lot. After Dinosaur, Harry and Brian rode the Primeval Whirl, and Euan and I rode the Tricera Top Spin. It made me nauseus – but the kid was happy – so it’s all good! On our way out we stopped in to see It’s Tough to Be a Bug. It is so much fun – and a real family favourite….then it was back to POFQ to meet Pogo and Patti.

We decided to meet at the food court and have some lunch. The boys had pizza, Pogo and Patti had Steak and Cheese Sandwiches and Brian and I had Meatball Subs. We all really enjoyed the food and of course, the company. We ate and the kids played in with the blocks and colouring pages in the food court and we talked for a couple of hours. It was really nice … and then we escorted our Cousins to the front lobby, where we parted ways. It was so lovely getting to know them both, and I look forward to meeting up with them again in the future.

We spent the afternoon pooling, then got changed to go over to the Beach Club for dinner at Cape May. Our wait was minimal, but we were seated in an ante-room along side about 25 teenaged baseball players who were down for a tourney. They were really nice, well behaved young men, and it was our pleasure to be along side them…..but boy could they eat!!!! The buffet was good. Harry loaded up on shrimp, and I loaded up on the mussels … Euan loaded up on cupcakes. Hey, whatever turns his crank. We had a fantabulous server from Tampa, who was a huge Hockey fan. He zoned right in on Harry (who was wearing his Maple Leafs hat when we came in) and they talked shop throughout our meal. This was a good experience overall for us – and where others might have been bothered by the ante-room seating – it suited us well. I would recommend Cape May for dinner. We drove around for a bit after dinner, then headed back to the POFQ for the night.

So sad you had to say goodbye to Pogo and Patti. Sounds like you've made great friends. So you all really enjoyed the Cape May dinner that much? Maybe we should go there then... haven't heard much about it for dinner lately. As always, thanks for reporting!

What a relaxing day! I love that about longer WDW trips... you can actually enjoy the parks AND the resorts. My DS would love hanging with your boys, but it's been a few years and I haven't been able to get him back on Dinosaur (it spooked him when he first when on when he was 5... maybe riding with Euan would change his mind).

Isn't the pool at POFQ nice? I love that resort!
