Today's question asks you to pick between the two Rainforest Cafes. Which do you prefer, the RFC at Downtown Disney Marketplace or the RFC at Animal Kingdom?

Definately downtown disney for us. Just the entire setup is nicer IMO (from outside to inside). Even the little store is a nice touch.

I chose the Downtown Disney location as well. Haven't eaten in either one, but it just looks nice when we get off the bus and head out to shop. It goes well with the scenery.

I have eaten at both, and there's no noticeable difference between the two, BUT...
I voted for the one in DTD, because I think it belongs there...but it never has felt quite right in AK. I think Disney should have it's own restaurant there. Just my opinion.

Love RFC, we have one here in MA, and it always reminds me of WDW, despite not being affiliated.

The Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney looks interesting, from what I have seen of the outside. I would prefer to eat at that one.

I think the one at AK is more appropriately placed. After all it is all about animals. The outside is beautiful and really fits the AK theming.:elephant:

I would have to agree. We always have lunch there on the day we visit the animal kingdom. I think it keeps with the theme of the park. I have eaten at both and really did not remember them being all that different as for the inside.

I've never eaten at the DTD restaurant, but it just seems so much busier than the AK version. Plus if you do breakfast at the AK early enough you can get into the park a little earlier than the other guests.

Yes! I so agree. I've never tried the one at AK and after eating at the one at Downtown Disney, I'm not in a rush to get there. But it has to be better than the Downtown Disney one because there's not much that could possibly be worse.

I honestly don't find much difference between the two but maybe i didn't look hard enough :shrug:

We've never cared to stay at AK long enough to have table service, so we've never been to that one. We've eaten at the DTD one and don't really have plans to go back.

I have also eaten at both. In general, the food is blah and not worth waiting the 20+ minutes for a table. Based on each restaurant, I chose the AK - it is newer and seems to be cleaner and less crowded then DTD. These days I only hit the shops for discounted items.

I agree that a third choice is needed--neither. I am just not a chain restaurant person. The food is only mediocre , IMO.

I have only eaten at the AK RFC. I really enjoyed it. Good food, awesome atmosphere! I also think it fits in very well with the AK surroundings! We will probably try the DTD on, but I can't imagine liking it better!:mickey:

Ive been to both and i would go for the one in AK as is its not so mad with people in the shop that you have in the downtown disney :thumbsup:

While I agree that Disney should have its own restaurant in AK, I believe the atmoshpere of Rainforest Cafe fits in better in AK! What a better way (besides taking a trip to Boma or Jiko) to end a day at AK?

We actually have a RFC a few miles from our house that has great service and very good food. We don't typically visit either RFC at WDW, since we can visit the one here anytime.

I prefer neither! I don't really care for the rood at rainforest cafe but hey to each his own!
