We will be celebrating my parents 50th anniversary when we are there in Jan. 08. Where can I order a special cake for us to celebrate at the resort? I am hoping for something that is, of course, Disney themed. Any websites where I can see pictures of cakes to choose from? Thanks for your suggestions!

If you call the Disney Dining number (407-wdw-dine) they can give you a number for a bakery that will make a specialty cake. They gave it to me but I have since lost it! Good luck!

This is from Info Central in our celebrating birthdays section, but I bet it would apply to anniversaries too:

Make arrangements for a birthday cake. 6" cakes are $12.50 and you do not need to pre-order. Just ask the server when you arrive at the restaurant.

Pre-Ordered Cakes;
8" Cakes - $25.00
10" - Cakes $40.00
1/4 Sheet Cake - $55.00
1/2 Sheet Cake - $80.00
Whole Sheet Cake - $120.00

All Cakes are either Chocolate or Vanilla and come with personalization. If you want to add a character there is an additional $30.00 charge. Cakes should be ordered, other than the 6" cake, 24-48 hours in advance by calling (407) 824-2165.

Two years ago at AKL I called down to the front desk and they put me through to Boma and we had a birthday cake for my wife in 20 minutes. I would call one of the hotel restaurants.

:mickey: Usually if you have a picture that would be best. Also they can match your wedding cake. Let me just say if you get one from the grand floridian, it is the best cake. Grand floridian is in charge of wedding cakes and mine was the best I have ever had. I have a phone number for general info at disney. 407.824.2222. I don't know if they use that number anymore. But if it works they can connect you to the correct place.:mickey:
