Where do you go first?

My family has a running tradition of heading for the Teacups for our first ride. I'm not sure how or why it started, it just did. We are already talking about hitting that ride first for our Sept trip.

Does anyone else have a first ride tradition? :mickey:

For me, and dh it was always Space, but this time we had a firsttimer our ds, and dd so it was the Railroad--kinda a changing of the old to the new for us. It was all for him this time, so it was perfect.

Ours is the Railroad. I don't know why, it just happens to be the first thing we do.

Our first in MK is either Jungle Cruise or Pirates - depends on which one has the shorter wait. We always head left when we enter the park, hence that choice of rides - no other logic to it.

We started our first trip in 1997 with Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.

In 1999, I don't really remember :confused: what we started with..

This time, we're hitting Tower of Terror first! :D :)

It just depends on what park I go to during our first day at WDW. At WDW in 2003 DH and I went on TT first. At DLR it was SM; and at DCA it was Sourin' first. This time around we'll be at MGM-Studios and will most likely ride ToT or RcRc first.

Dec. will be our 12th trip, and the last 10, our first ride has been Spaceship Earth. The first year, in 1984, our first ride was World of Motion.

When we get on that monorail to Epcot on Sunday, which is day one of our trip, I am literally lifted above my home life, and beginning a wonderful week.:cloud9:

Depends on the park. lately we have been taking the train directly to Frontierland and going on BTMR when in MK. In AL it is always EE. In Epcot Sorin. In MGM RnR. :mickey:

Apparently when I was just a small child, it was my favourite ride in the park and I wanted to ride it over and over all day.

It started with our son. He is a major fan of pirates which started with Capt. Hook.

when my gf and i go we don't have a first ride that we go on each time, rather we decide before we go what ride we each wanna do. last may i chose buzz lightyears space ranger spin and she chose the many adventures of winnie the pooh. this time i am thinking of chosing test track, and i am pretty sure she has her mind set on mission space. well, only 21 more days to figure it all out! :mickey:

In the past it has always been Dumbo due to our DD. However, since she turned 40 inches last summer and had a taste of Splash Mt., that's where we'll be headed first in Oct.

We usually hit Haunted Mansion first in the MK. Epcot is usually Spaceship Earth, my son hates it so we usually get it out of the way first. This year we will have to hit Soarin' first since SE will be closed for our visit in September. My son LOVES soarin' so he will be more than happy. MGM we hit Star Tours first. My son insists although I don't mind. Animal Kingdom is usually a 1/2 day park for us. No one is really to enthusiastic about this park but we go anyway. We always hit the Safari first there. Okay, now I really wanna go!:mickey:

The first attraction my family ever rode was IASW back in '71. It's been a tradition ever since. Besides, riding it first allows the rest of the day's experiences to drive that blasted song from my mind!:thedolls:

This year it will be tie because of my two girls one is 3 and the other 10. So guess it will be Dumbo and Splash Mountain.

The first thing DH and I did together on our first trip together (honeymoon) was Alien in Tomorrowland. When it became SGE, it definitely stayed the first thing we do since I love Stitch, and will be the first thing we do in December. :thumbsup:

Our first ride has gnerally been test track as we usually go to epcot on the first day. However with Soaring now at Epcot, that might be the new first ride.

Well, this depends on when we arrive! If we arrive in the afternoon and plan to go into the parks that night, we never go into the Magic Kingdom first...my family always saves the Magic Kingdom for the first FULL day (so we can start out with those cinnamon rolls at the main street bakery! :D ) So, our first park is usually Epcot and I guess we just can't help that our first ride is Spaceship Earth there. As far as the Magic Kingdom goes, it seems we often head to the Haunted Mansion. It changes every time!

No that we have a child..and one on the way!...We do Peter Pan and the rest of Fantasyland. In the past..pre-child, We usually did Pirates,Splash and H.M. all in a row.:mickey:
