MNSSHP tickets time and techniques

I know the tickets are supposed to go on sale May 1st but at what time? Can you only get them through the Disney phone number or can you order them online? Once you order them do they mail you the tickets or are they waiting at your resort at check in? My daughter is 9 but will turn 10 before the party date, do I purchase a child or adult ticket for her? And finally how fast do the tickets sell out? We are looking at 10/30 only.
