Year of 100 Questions: #14

For today's question, we go into the Animal Kingdom park, but the question isn't about a specific attraction. If it was MK, I might ask you to compare Adventureland against Frontierland, or Epcot I might (actually will) ask Future World against World Showcase. But today's question is at Animal Kingdom. Which do you prefer: Africa or Asia?

On a side note, I believe the last of the first 10 questions closes during the weekend, so early next week look for the review of questions 1-10. I'll post a link in the regular question.

I picked Asia. DW loves the Tigers, and I believe that EE would fall in this "land" as well. I'll be interested to see how the new restaurant is.

Hands down it has to be Asia. It has Kali River Rapids, Expedition Everest, and the Jungle Trek. Africa has the Safari.

This was a tough one, but I went with Asia because of EE and Kali River Rapids. However, Africa has Kilimanjaro Safaris, and I love that one. But Asia won out.

Though the tigers are awesome, EE is a blockbuster, and Asia's theming is excellent, the one-two punch of Kilamanjaro Safaris and Pangani Forest Trail are truly what AK is all about, the wonderful animals. :simba: :dumbo: :monkey:

Difficult decision - I went w/ Asia just because there's more. Personally, though, I don't know what AK be would w/out KS and the gorillas.

I went with Asia because of the tigers and EE and I love the theming. I also love Africa because of the animals, it is what AK is about.

I'm going with Asia. Just has more stuff with Africa really only having the Safari which I do also love.

Toughest question yet. More attractions in Asia but food services, gorillas in Africa. EE tilted my vote slightly in favor of Asia. :mickey:

Although EE is arguably the best attraction in all of WDW, the theming of Africa is the best. It's easy to believe here that you Are in Africa! Sorry Asia. Africa gets my vote.

Though I do love EE and Kali River Rapids, I had to go with Africa for the same reason as Darthmacho. I also have one reason of my own; Africa has that little bar tucked out of the way - you can get a table and watch the parade while enjoying a refreshment!

Asia all the way-- the attention to detail is simply stunning. (Not that it isn't in Africa, but there's something about Asia's that appeals to me more.)

I went with Africa because of the safari, but Asia has the tigers and I am totally fascinated by tigers. It was a hard decision for me.

I didn't think of this question in terms of which rides I like to go on and where they're located. I chose Africa because I like to walk around there more. It's a better place to wander around because it's not as crowded. Of course, I love Expedition Everest, but trying to get there through the crowds is no fun.

I would definitely have to say Africa. The Safari gets me every time! I just love seeing those animals in their natural habitat. Disney does just so well with Animal Kingdom in general. I just love that park.

I voted for Asia, but man was it hard. The food there stinks and the theming in Africa is superior.

Another vote for Asia! The attention to detail here is incredible. And EE has to be the most beautiful coaster I've ever seen. :number1:

Asia more things to do. Kali and EE. I'm not a huge AK fan to begin with. We have a great local zoo (I don't really care for that either, not a big zoo person, so the animals really don't thrill me).

2nd wife was Asian,3rd African so split there:confused:
like the Tigers...EE didnt really do it for me the 1 time i was on it so far, but i will try again in May
i do like the safari and trail in Africa too though.

i love africa because KS is awesome. to me there is not much in asia that I like. so africa would be my pic.
