Hi,
I'm new to the boards and I'm so excited I dont think I will be able to sleep tonight!
My parents first took my sister and I to Disney when I was 7 years old in 1972. I'll never forget the feeling of riding the monorail and going through the Contemporary and just being in awe. I remember absolutely loving It's A Small World and my mother said that my sister and I rode it so many times that my father stopped going because he said he just couldn't take it anymore...LOL!
Throughout the years I have returned to the Magic Kingdom, but I have never seen any of the other parks. When my daughter was 5 we took her to the MK, but she doesn't remember it at all. Both of my kids visited MGM for the day with their father when they were younger and they barely remember it, so we are practically like "newbies". Now my kids are 16 and 13. We are staying at the Polynesian in a room with a MK view for 8 days and 8 nights! I'm sorry if I'm gushing, but this is truly a dream vacation for us.
I got on these boards months ago to help plan our trip and they have been so incredibally helpful. Thanks to all who post here. I would have missed so much and done so many dumb things if I hadn't read the advice and tips posted on these boards. I never knew that so many people went to Disney on a regular basis and basically make going to Disney a life-style. You guys are nuts!...I love it!!!!!
