Pogo and Patti's Day Six.. The Final Day.

2007 Disney Trip, Day Six April 24th.


Cast: Pogo: 10 year old Boy in a 56 year old Man’s body.
DW: Very Patient Wife who enjoys Disney !

Supporting Cast: CanadianWDWFan, Mickey’sGirl and kids.

Reason: Celebrating our Fifth Anniversary and
Intercot Mini Meet !


This is our sad day at WDW.:( We have to leave the magic and travel back home to reality. But, we don’t have to be on our Magical Express Bus until 2:40 PM. So we pack up and take our bags to store them with Bell Services for the day. We have a couple of minutes to grab a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin before DVC picks us up.

We finish our breakfast and walk out and get in the van and are taken to Saratoga Springs and the DVC Sales, headquarters. We are escorted into a room and have a couple of minutes to speak with another couple before our “guide” Karen comes to get us.

We are taken into her office where she proceeds to tell us all of the benefits of belonging to DVC and she evens tells us some of the reasons to not consider it and we appreciate her honesty. :thumbsup:

Next up is a short ride in a golf cart to view the rooms that we could reserve if we join and we are blown away by all of SSR.

We stop at another building and see the models for the new AKL DVC Villas and are impressed as well.

Karen returns us to her office where we ask some questions and crunch some numbers and then it’s of for a dish of ice cream before we return top POFQ. Karen even gave us two $15 gift cards for taking the tour and we stopped in POFQ gift shop and bought a couple of shirts we wanted.

I called up Mickey’sGirl and they said they would meet us for lunch and we got to spend another two hours with their family. I had a tear in my eye as I hugged my cousin for the last time and we promised to get together again.

While we said the rest of our goodbyes, Euan came over to shake my hand and totally surprised me when he reached up and gave me a hug.

We walked out in front of POFQ, retrieved our luggage from Bell Services and waited for ME to pick us up. It wasn’t but a minute later that we were on the bus and headed for MCO.

Check in was fast and the security check was pretty painless and soon we boarded the plane bound for the gray, cold skies over Rochester.

The flight was very good and we were home by 9:00 PM and picking up our mail from our neighbor.

Now, what do we do…….. We start planning our next trip. Maybe we’ll be DVC members, maybe not. But I do know we will be back. This I promise you. :D

Pogo - Those were some great reports! I might just have to steal your idea about the carriage on our next trip to WDW:thumbsup: ! I am not sure when that next trip will be, but I will get back there, I am sure of that! I have to agree with what everyone else has said, your love for your wife is so evident in all of your reports and it is so refreshing to read of such a healthy marriage!! I can only hope that my marriage will be like yours as we continue to celebrate our anniversaries (this coming one is our 10th)!!
