If we decide to go to Cali Grill, then could we just order flatbreads or appetizers and dessert or would that not be O.K.? I'm very picky about my food and I don't really see a lot that I would eat but it might be nice to watch fireworks from there. Would they say anything about eating so light?

No that would be perfectly fine.

Also if you just wanted an entree (and not the apps or dessert) that would be ok as well.

The flatbreads are very tasty. Have a great time.

Our friends did that one night. They both are picky eaters, but really wanted to try the California Grill. Of course, my DH and I love it there, so we had talked it up, but then realized they would never try some of the items on the menu. They ended up loving it, and they only ordered the things you mentioned - flatbreads and desserts. Enjoy!

That's fine in any restaurant.
You can order only any number of courses. Just apps and drinks, just desserts, just entrees, or everything!
Just let your server know when you are seated what your plan is.
