What's your favorite non-character buffet? Trying to think of places to try on our trip next month. :mickey:

Ours is hands down Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is so so so good. You have to try the Butter Nut Squash Soup. :mickey:

In-park:
Biergarten

Resorts:
Toss up between Cape May Cafe and Trails End. Food is probably better at Trails End, but a couple of the dishes at Cape May as fantastic, and the location is much easier to get to.

My next trip I'm going to the following non-character buffets for dinner:

Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort)
Biergarten (Epcot, Germany)

We've not done too many buffets, but we did do Boma and it was fabulous! :chef:

boma.

we haven't been to the biergarten for a long time, but i remember liking it. especially the cool dark cavernous building on a hot day.

avoid the yacht club breakfast buffet at the galley. we made this mistake once. ONCE.

No good, huh? We were actually looking into that one since we're staying at the Beach Club. What's wrong with it if you don't mind me asking. I have no real info on the place. We'll avoid it if it's bad.

Boma - without a doubt. As soon as we left, I was thinking about going back. If I lived nearby, I would eat there once a week - unfortunately, Pittsburgh is a bit far for that. I guess I have to wait until Oct '08.

Add another tick mark for Boma.

It is hands down the best buffet (character or otherwise) at WDW. The soups are different but delicious and I always eat my weight in the prime rib!! And can anybody say, "Zebra Domes!!!"

We ate there a few times in October 2005 while staying at the Beach Club. It was very good. They had almost the same food as the Cape May Cafe but the price was cheaper. We even order waffles which they made fresh !

dinner at the galley was fine. very quiet, nice service, good food, but our breakfast buffet was one of the worst wdw dining experiences we ever had. the worst service and food ever encountered. so bad we actually laughed about it as we ate second breakfast.

Boma, without a doubt! As others have said, the soups are awesome... the zebra domes are one of the best things on WDW property... and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing! :cloud9:

Boma is a very good choice! I especially like the made to order omlettes and the bobtie.

To give you another perspective on the Yacht Club Galley, we had a very good breakfast there. I had the buffet and found the food to be fresh and well stocked. My sister ordered the Crabcake Benedict and really liked it; even more so than the Eggs Benedict she had at Concourse Steakhouse the year before. We had excellent service there by the waitstaff. Only reason we aren't going there on this year's trip is that my sister wants to try all of the restarants that serve Eggs Benedict and determine her favorite.
