We really liked Biergarten in Germany when we went. Partly because of the fun entertainment which was enjoyed by both kids and adults, and partly because we like the food. (Not to mention that when you have kids, a buffet can save the day, because they have been waiting for attractions all day and then to sit still and wait for food is just too much sometimes).

And also at Epcot, we really liked Alfredo di Roma but they are leaving at the end of this summer! :(

I agree with you on Crystal Palace. :chef:

Also really love the Rainforest Café and wish wish wish they were on the Dining Plan, esp. because they are IMO the best place for dinner in all of AK.

We love going to LeCellier, Jiko , Artist Point & Spoodles as well. There are so many wonderful places to pick from, that, at times, it's difficult to pick.

Disney offers so many options for dining that there has to be a favorite for everyone no matter your taste or budget!

Chef Mickey's always for dinner on our first night. For some reason it always starts our vacation off! I also never miss Crystal Palace for breakfast. Getting a hug from Pooh always puts me in a good mood.

There are far too many to choose from. For me, it would be the following with dates:

Back in the 70s (I wasn't even double digit old then):
1. Pioneer Hall for Breakfast: they had all the cool new games, the Big Al vibrating chair, the kids walk up bar for Sarsparilla.
2. Tomorrowland Terrace

80s
Any fast food place. Couldn't be bothered with sit down meals because they took time away from rides.

90s
1. ESPN Bar

Now:
1. Ohana's
2. Donald's Breakfastsaurus.
3. Crystal Palace
4. Boma

SurferStitch

We have quite a few must-do's:

1. Narcoossee's
2. Cali Grill
3. Le Cellier
4. V&A (almost every time....missed a couple)
5. Teppanyaki
6. 'Ohana (breakfast and dinner)
7. Crystal Palace (breakfast)
8. 50's Prime Time
9. Rainforest Cafe (lunch)
10. Plaza Restaurant (lunch)

for as long as i can remember we have always gone to the LTT. every single trip for the last couple of decades has included a trip to our favorite place in the MK. the food is pretty good, but the location and atmosphere cannot be beat.

narcoossee's is another one we have gone to forever and seem to never miss.

can't miss the hoop dee doo or the boulangerie patisserie.

these are the four places we always seem to hit, at least since the 80's. i don't remember where we ate in the 70's. probably counter service and i was too young to care anyway.

the last couple of visits we may have picked up a few new classic must do restaurants. california grill knocked my socks off and boma...my goodness.....boma lived up to all the hype. best breakfast ever.

Beyond that, I think all of the places we are trying are new to us. :) I'm excited about trying some of them:

Boma, Le Cellier, Californina Grill, Turf Club, Boatwrights, 1900 Park Fare, Fultons Crab House, Kona Cafe', Sci-Fi (for the kids), Mama Melrose's.

We're repeating CRT, but last time we had breakfast there and this time it will be lunch.

The only place my kids insisted on repeating was Crystal Palace. :cloud9:

For me it's Columbia Harbor House in Magic Kingdom. I think we'll do Chef Mickey's every year now, though since everyone enjoyed it so much this past trip. That's about it for us :) Simple but good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The oldest tradition - crystal palace for breakfast last full park day

the next oldest - O'Hana's on the first night right off the plane and into the atmosphere

the newest tradition - Chef Mickey's for dinner.

EDIT- come to think of it, the only place i have eaten at every trip to the world is Columbia Harbor House. Go figure.....

We have several restaurants that we try to hit every trip:

MK
• Liberty Tree Tavern (before for dinner, now for lunch)
• Crystal Palace (whatever meal we can fit into our plans)

Epcot
• Garden Grill
• New to our list: Coral Reef

MGM
• Backlot Express (it's the one place where I allow myself to indulge in one of my favorite WDW guilty pleasures: chicken strips)

AK
• Tusker House

DTD
• Wolfgang Puck Express
• Goofy's Candy Company

MGM - Sci-Fi Dine In, Rosie's All American

plaza, plaza, plaza for my whole family we love the food and the price is reasonable. Their strawberry, chicken salad is todie for, and you get a huge plateful it's really enough for two! That's at MK. At Epcot I love eating in japan they cook it right there infront of you and it's so much fun. It's a bit pricie but we splurge for just that one meal when were there otherwise we eat cheeper at the other parks.:mickey:

Most of ours are at MK:
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree
Casey's

At EPCOT we have some favorite snacks - we never miss fish & chips in the UK, egg rolls in China and brats & pretzels in Germany.

'Ohana is really the only resort place we always hit - though we'll probably be adding Jiko to that list!

Oh and how could I forget - Ghirardelli's! :tasty:

The list seems to just get bigger and bigger, but if I had to narrow it down:

*O'hana

For DH and I we have started both trips with dinner at Cosmic Ray's. Biergarten is one I've gone to almost every single trip. A new one for us is Trails End. I don't want to get tied down to too many restaurants or we'll never try anything new! :mickey:

DH and I went on our first trip together recently. He had been to DW many times but hadn't eaten on park property (other than for snacks) before we went together. We agree that we'd like to make a tradition of having our last dinner at the CA Grill. Flame Tree will probably be our traditional first meal in the parks. I'm trying to convince him to try Boma next time around!

The #1 absolutely can't miss it for us is Boma.
Close behind are Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's, Columbia Harbour House and 50's Prime Time.
Two that we always do just for the fantastic theming (not the food or service) are ESPN Club and San Angel Inn.

We usually like to eat at unique places, someplace that is different from anyplace we can go to at home. So our fav's are:

Sci Fi - it's just fun
Cantina de San Angel - we love sitting there on the water
Cinderella's Royal Table - awesome view & just cool being in the Castle!

Every year we try to visit a different resort & try something new - last year we did the Whispering Canyon Cafe - & we thought it was a blast!

Chef Mickeys for breakfast, we never miss as for this is tradition for our family for the first meal before we head to the parks. The other one that is a big hit with ur family is O'hanas expecally the pineapple drinks and and Wishes in the background. The 3rd one is Crystal Palace. My new one that I love is Le Cellier. Each trip we always try something new. Each time when we try new ones we are always suprised while others we are dissapointed. To be truthful the suprises far outweigh the dissapointments.

We have to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern on our first night. On our honeymoon (almost 11 yrs ago) we at there our first night at WDW. It was such good "home cooked food" after having had fast food for a couple days between our wedding and honeymoon. We just stumbled into the restaurant and didn't know anything about it. We've taken our kids twice since and they love it, too.

Well it changes over time. I remember when there was no trip without a visit to Chef Mickey for dinner and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (although we have ressies here on our upcoming trip in June) but that has changed as has other choices. At this time the following are must dos:

Kona, at least one of the 3 options in Japan, Boulangerie bakery, Tusker House (DH loves this place), Ghirardellis, Wolfgang Puck, Earl of Sandwich. :mickey:
