there's not really anything to "do", per se at dtd in disneyland. it's not as extensive as the one in wdw. there are restaurants, shops, and a movie theater.

he might like the ESPN zone restaurant, house of blues restaurant/club (bands at night), or the movie theater. there's also a miniscule arcade inside the grand californian hotel, which has an entrance in dtd. a slightly bigger arcade is at the disneyland otel, which is at one end of dtd.

a couple cool stores for teens are the *********** store and the starabillias store.

He'll probably like the upstairs floor of the ESPN zone. It's a HUGE sports themed arcade with a lot of interactive sports games as well as traditional sports themed video games. Give him enough money to get a points card and leave him there for a couple hours.

Other than that, there's not much to occupy a teen that doesn't like shopping. Of course, a lot of local teens hang out at Downtown Disney on the weekends, so if he wants to mingle, that would be a good place. ;)
