Year of 100 Questions: #9

A few questions ago we had the big Epcot battle with Test Track taking on Soarin'. That poll is still open for a few more days.

Now, we shift over to Disney Studios, or whatever you'd like to call it these days. Is it going to be Rock 'n Roller Coaster or the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror?

Think about that choice and vote.

I went with Tower of Terror. Although they are both great rides, the theming and attention to detail in ToT is hard to beat.:thumbsup:

:mickey: I just love ToT... there's something totally unique about that ride compared to the rest of the rides at WDW, and I just can't miss going on it. :D

I went with ToT, even though both are great. Theming of ToT is fanastic, and then considering I'm scared to death of heights, I can't wait to go on ToT again!!!

I went with Rockin Roller Coaster.... LOVE the takeoff, plus love a roller coaster with a theme, and the music!

Going against the grain, I voted for RnR. I just love that ride, and while ToT is well themed, and an icon of WDW, I just think RnR is a better ride. I wish they had a few more exciting rides in MGM to go along with these two. :coaster:

They're both good...two completely different types of ride. But if I had to choose one, I'll choose ToT. Personally, I think it's themed better.

We always ride ToT first, but we ride RR a few times each day we tour MGM

Although Rock n Roll Rollercoaster is great, the Tower of Tower is a level above. IMHO, ToT is one of the top three rides at WDW. The great queue, theming, CMs in character, & great ride make it the very best ride at MGM.

This was almost like asking the impossible. I went with ToT because, well, I don't know. Though I love it, I hate it, but I still get off saying lets do that again. There is just something about it that can't be beat.

I love the TOT and think it is a great ride! But, The RNR is my favorite ride in all of WDW!! :number1:

RnR is a must for us at least once every trip. ToT is a great ride too, but it's one that if we happen to miss it, no bigee, we'll just hit it the next time.

Went wit ToT though RR is good. Every time we ride ToT the people getting off the ride with us are always smiling and joking. People seem to really get a kick out of it.

I picked Tower of Terror because of the themeing and the fact that the ride is never exactly the same.

But, TOT wins because it has a little more of an adrenaline rush for me. I start feeling it as I'm going through the queue because of the great theming.

That was a really tough one... I guess I like the actual thrill of the ride of RNRC better, but the entire experience of ToT puts it on top. I made my decision after I realized that I would be more upset if ToT was closed than RNRC.

Like others, I like both attractions almost equally. I think Tower of Terror is well themed and thrilling, but I voted for Rock-n-Roller Coaster. It's an exciting ride, I love the thrill factor part of it ... and I've always been a coaster fan. It also has great interior design ... Living in CA, I love seeing all the signs as you ride through in the dark.

RNRC ROCKS! It was my first experience on a roller coaster and now I can't get enough. Even my DH has riden it once a trip - me I prefer 3-5 times.

ToT was good when there was the safety bar. I feel less secure with the seatbelts - not as much to hold onto I suppose. I attempt to ride once a trip.

Aerosmith brings the whole experience together - "Dude looks like a lady":thumbsup: !

Wow, this is the toughest yet. I could easily stay down in that part of MGM and be a very happy camper just going back and forth between the two. I had to go with ToT in the end though, because no matter how many times I ride it, the attention to detail never fails to put me right in the middle of the story.

I had to go with Rock 'n Roller Coaster since Tower of Terror is just that to me ... terrifying! I haven't been on it since the first time I rode it. I went on Tower at 8am and had a headache and felt off balance the rest of the morning. :sick:

I ride roller coasters so RnR got my vote. Theming is well done for ToT. But overall ride experience is more thrill to me.

I didn't get a chance to ride either when we were there last year. But when we return, I plan on riding both, with ToT being more of a priority than RNRC

I had to go with TOT because I have not got to ride RNR yet. My girls are not big enough and I don't want to ride by myself. Plus I just loved how much my 5 & 6 year old looooved TOT. The theming is awesome, too.:mickey:

0-60 in 2.6 sec, inversion upon takeoff, barrel rolling thru LA while rockin out to possibly the greatest band...ever!!! What's not to love? I could ride RRC over and over and over, but I just can't seem to do the drop thing!:ack:

Tower of Terror is my favorite attraction at WDW. I love the theme, atmosphere, and thrills. Plus, the addition of the random drop sequences a few years ago made an already fantastic attraction even better.

Have to go with Rockin' Roller Coaster on this one. I don't like the eerie stuff at Twilight Zone and I hate to drop.

This one is a no brainer for me…Rockin Roller Coaster all the way!!! Although the theme in ToT is great, nothing beats a roller coaster that pumps music through the seats! And add that it’s a great band like Aerosmith…classic! For me ToT is one of those rides that I will do if everybody else wants to but it’s not on my not-miss list like RnRC. I can take the take-off on RnR better then I can the drop! :ack:

Without themeing RNR is the better ride but since these rides are themed then I'll go Tower.

This is SOOO not a fair question. Both rides are awesome. RNR is great with the take off, inversions, and of course Aerosmith (who put on an amazing live concert). ToT wins my vote though. It gets me everytime I ride it with the drop. I always think I know when it is coming, but it catches me off guard everytime.:number1:

I love both but for different reasons.

RnR is great because its a fantastic roller coaster! I LOVE jamming out to Aerosmith as i'm speeding up, down, left, and right. I get a real kick out of it and the pre show theming is very nice as well.

I ended up voting for ToT but only because I think the theming is just a step above and it's an attaction that could never be duplicated. Ever. You have to know that I can ride almost anything and I don't get the willys (other than Dinosaur of course:secret: ). But, everytime I get in line for ToT I think "c'mon, it's just a little thing, no big deal." I end up getting that stomach dropping feeling like i'm super nervous and i'm going to pee my pants. haha. We got to Cedar Point every year and I can ride the Power Tower which is a dropping ride but I never get nervous! Tot scares me everytime...now that's impressive!:thumbsup:

had to go ToT- i'm a coaster guy, and love the RnR, but as many have said, the theme puts ToT over the top for me. such attention to the entire storyline, plus the grounds of the attraction itself, make it a signature disney attraction. as great as RnR is, it would be the same in another park. ToT wouldn't.

I actually couldn't vote this time!

I really like both equally.... RnRC is a great thrill ride with a cool soundtrack - it's always a pleaser. What's so awesome about ToT is that you never know what to expect and that makes it a great thrill ride!

I just can't pick one over the other!

Love them both. But TOT edges out a little for me. Mainly because of the cool theming and special effects.

Tough question--their both great. TOT has great theming and you never know what to expect but RRC is a great thrill ride with great soundtrack!!!!!:coaster:

Living 6 miles from Roller Coaster Land (Six Flags Great Adventure) sort of sways my opinion Rock N Roller Coaster is nice but I definately have to go with the Tower Of Terror for the atmosphere as well as the ride.
