Anyone know when the Yak & Yeti is scheduled to open and when they are taking ADR?

Figment!

Their opening date is still set at "2007", and the location is still highly under construction.

No word on when or if they would start accepting reservations.

But, certainly, there were marketing people involved in naming this restuarant? This doesn't sound like a very appetizing name.

I have to agree.

One would think that Disney wouldn't want to associate the word "Yak" with one of their restaurants.

I have to agree also. I can hear my kids' convesations now - ranging from  to Yak - the other white meat.

The Yak & Yeti is a good name for this new restaurant, as it is appropriate with the Himalayan theming. Both the Yak and the Yeti are significant in the Himalayan culture.

Of course it is Yak, not :ack:
It would not work if the name was Feast & Yak.

Let's hope that they have a good menu.

I like it, too. Not only is it appropriate to the theming of the area, but it also appeals to my rather skewed sense of humour

While I like the idea of a TS restaurant on that side of AK, I think AK has the absolute BEST CS eateries in all of WDW. I think I would rather do Flametree BBQ or Tusker House than any TS place!
