If you are with someone who can not eat fried chicken or bbq sauce, can you order something different for the HDDR? Can they give you baked chicken or ribs without sauce:

They should be able to accommodate you if you let them know ahead of time and remind them when you check in.

When I last attended the HDD with dietary restrictions, I was just told what NOT to eat. No accomodations were made, which left me floored!

This was mentioned at the time the reservation was made (and paid for) and also at check-in. Upon making the reservations, I was told to let them know at the restaurant.

I would be persistent, mention it at the time of making your reservations, call the week before (speak with the chef over at Fort Wilderness), and then call again the day before. When you are seated, you should also mention it to your server. Hopefully they can accomodate you.
