Just a reminder that everyone's income taxes next week (either the 16th or the 17th of april, not sure which). Has everyone done all their taxes yet? I did all of mine a couple of months ago. I think that I may have even got my refund already. :cloud9:

I just thought I would start this thread so that we could have somewhere on intercot to discuss the trials and tribulations of preparing our income taxes.

I did mine about a month ago. I'm very happy I owe much less then last year ... I can thank my new wife for that. ;)

The deadline for individuals is Tuesday, April 17, 2007.

Finished my one uncle's last week. Will work on my other uncle's this week. Will probably do ours Sunday night.

Sent mine out on St. Patty's day - still waiting for the refunds! :( Didn't do them online, though, so I guess the paper trail takes longer.) Hoping to see them sometime soon!! :)

Hey sounds like all you guys have done really well getting all these refunds:thumbsup:

I live in the UK but this was my first year for doing taxes in the States - didn't realise that there is a chance that I will actually get something back:clappy: You never get anything back in the UK - nothing is tax deductible anymore:(

Anyway did mine in February but haven't heard back from my accountant yet - think I need to chase:tiptoe:

If I get a refund - then it will be a trip to WDW shortly thereafter:spend:

My taxes were done and our refund in the bank by February 8th. :clappy:

I do our taxes and always will (I hope). I find that by doing them every year I keep on top of any changes in the tax laws.

Our accountant gave us our returns 2 weeks ago. I normally use TurboTax and do the returns myself, but this is my first year (actually 6 mos) as a pastor so it was worth having an expert fix them up. Needless to say we owe. Since the individual returns are due on the 17th this year, I will go to the post office on the 17th.

I used to always do mine early, but the last couple of years we've ended up owing, so I've been in no rush. I've got them done, and printed out, and hopefully I'll get them in the mail tomorrow (or Friday).
