I heard a few weeks ago that half of Soarin closed down due to a malfunction. I'm heading over there tomorrow. Does anyone know if both lines are operating?

As far as I know it is operating normally now. Of course there are no guarantees when it comes to technical problems.

Malfunctions can happen at a moments notice and can last from a few minutes to several days. Normally though, most breakdowns are fixed in minutes or hours not days.

the family and I rode Soarin on two different days last week during our vacation and all was in working order....but be prepared for HUGE lines on that one...FP are gone within the first 1-2 hours of opening. We waited 70 mins on a extra magic night. Whew! :)
Its a good ride and well worth it....not to mention the search for 2 hidden Mickey's on it! ;)

I believe they were redoing the floors, so one side was shut down. They loaded us by the exit door, as the main entrance was blocked off. Fast passes were gone by 11 PM or so - at 10:30, I got one for 6:30 at night!
