What is the best time to visit WDW for the least amount of humidity? We are thinking, Oct, Nov or Jan. We were there in Sept of 2002 and it was miserable. We are drylanders from the PNW.

As one PNW resident to another, your thinking is pretty good. Been there at all those times (we have a son that lives in Orlando :mickey: ) and they are all great times. My favorite is probably early November. typically, it's still warm (by our definition of warm, of course) with very little humidity. January is really nice too, except for the possibility of rain. October is a bit more humid, depending on how early in the month you go - the later, the less humidity. Nice thing about October is it's usually nice enough to really enjoy the water parks as well.

Believe it or not, according to Birnbaums, April has the least amount of rain, :(l.8), followed by Dec. at 2.2. November is 2.3, and October 2.4. Jan looks good at 2.3.

Don't go in June. That's 7.8.:cloud9:

It was so humid last Dec. my dd had so much trouble breathing and we live below sea level and are used to humidity.
When a front comes through it brings moisture and when evening thunderstorms come in there is moisture esp. when the pavement is hot. Maybe strmchsr can explain it best but my guess would be the milder months of April and Nov. but it can vary w/ the weather. :(

:welcome: to Intercot!!!!

January/early to mid February are the times with the lowest dewpoints (which is what you're really asking about - relative humidity is a bogus number). Yes, April is the driest month in terms of rain, but when you're talking about a city on a peninsula near the coast no rain doesn't equal low dewpoints. October is still pretty high. November is hit and miss. If a good front comes through you can see quite low dewpoints, but they can also be quite high. Same for December. You're almost always safe in January, which also is probably the month with the lowest crowds now.

January does feature low humidity but it can also be quite cold in Disney World at this time of year - we had temperatures below freezing on our last trip!

We went in Dec 05 and there really wasn't much humidity. It was a little cool at night, but not too bad.

We went in December of '06 and it was pleasantly dry and warm. We had a couple cloudy days and passing showers, but we never once felt sticky or noticed any humidity at all. Temps gradually and steadily increased the 12 days we were there (12/6 - 12/17), and by the last couple days it was dry and in the low 80's.

October always seemed very hot and humid to us. The first couple times we went in October (1996 and 1998) it was nice and dry, but since then we've experienced high humidity and plenty of 90+ temps.

I'd go with mid-late November or December.
