Yesterday, a freshman girl at the school I am student teaching at died tragically in a car accident. She was on the swim team and was supposed to leave for a class trip to Italy tonight. Her older brother, a senior, was driving. Physically he will be OK but mentally he is devastated according to police. I teach mostly freshman and today was very rough. Tears everywhere. These kids have never experiencing a loss like this before and it will be very hard for them. Please keep my students and the family of the young girl in your thoughts and prayers.

Our prayers are with everyone in that community, especially the family. You just wonder why these things have to happen to someone so young?

I remember a few days like this when I was in HS - very confusing and difficult. I feel deeply for the poor boy and, of course, the parents. Much prayer and love from our house...

Sending prayers and :pixie: :pixie: :pixie: from Upstate NY to her family and your school... what a devastating thing to have happen. We had quite a few similar losses a few years ago, and it was just so hard to imagine what those families and friends were going through. :(

Our thoughts are with you. Being a teacher, I know how such a loss can affect a school.
