How can you book so many so far in advance? I am happy that I managed to get 3 ADRs booked. Just trying to pick these 3 stressed me out as we are spur of the moment people.
Here are ours:
12/9/07 - 5:55 pm - 50s Prime Time Cafe
12/11/07 - 9:10 am - Chef Mickey's
12/15/07 - 6:20 pm - 'Ohana

And upcoming as mentioned in a previous post
13 Dec 07 Marrakesh Restaurant but for the 6:45 Candlelight Processional show
This is a lot of ADRs for us, as we have never made ADRs before.

When DH and I are on vacation we go all out. We want to eat at the best restaurants. We'll be there for ten days so we figure we might as well have a great time. We don't want to be one of typical tourist who tries to get into a restaurant and are rejected because the place is packed.

That would be us........your typical tourist.........that is why we actually made our 3 ADRs this year. After 3 visits to WDW (total 6 weeks) I have decided it is time that we try a few nice restaurants. We will be there for 16 nights and DH and DS weren't too keen on me booking the 3 ADRs - 4 if you include the candlelight processional dinner package. This will be our first character meal and I can't wait! Needless to say, we have not yet graduated to the dining plan. Maybe next time!

DH and I arn't really married to the Dining Plan too. Just because we don't want to be forsed to eat more than we want to. Last time DH and I were on a tight budget and could only eat at one nice sit down restaurant a day.

The only suggestion I would make is to change the time for an earlier lunch/dinner at Chef's de France, because you can official go into MK for MVMCP at 4pm. You'll be wasting a lot of time eating one park and getting to MK. It could take 2-3 hours.

Thanks, I had been wondering about that one. At the time I called, they said that was the earliest reservation they could get me at CdF so I took it. I'm going to try calling back again to get something earlier if I can, and if not at least we have something.

We are planning on spending a full day at MK the following day (we're rockin' the park hopper), and the BF and I will be doing MVMCP again on the 9th so I know we'll at least get plenty of MK time over the course of the vacation.

Normally, DH and I are definately NOT morning people. But it it comes to going on vacation (expecially at DLR or WDW), we're just little kids again who have to explore and do everything. I have tons of energy. Even my friends who work out a lot more than myself cannot keep up with me when it comes to going to an amusement park or on a trip.

I use to travel from time to time to the east coast (NY, NJ, MA, etc.) so I can adjust to the time change easily...but when it comes to arriving back to California--it does take a few days for me to adjust.

Y'all have fun and I'll live vicariously through your trip reports.

Will be putting up a small x-mas tree and the kids stockings in our hotel room. Also I made a mistake we are going to the MVMCP on Dec 20 so anyone that is also going on that date and would like to meet up please let me know and we can get together for the party.

I completely understand. There were times throughout the four years that DH and I were planing to go to WDW and/or DLR and had to cancel them. This year has be an intersting one, never the less--and the only thing we're looking forward to is our paid in advance trip to WDW in December. We still have some saving money we need to do (food and gifts), but we should be okay by December.

We'll be at POP Dec.1-Dec.8!!! We'll also be going to MVMCP on Dec. 6 (just ordered my tickets today!):cloud9:

It's a trip of firsts! My DD's first trip, she'll be 20 months at time of travel,we'll also be celebrating DS's 8th B'day there, and it's also the first time we will see all the decorations!:santa3::tree:
I'm so excited!!!

We had to change our dates again. (You're starting to hate me a little, aren't you?) But hey, we're saving about $100 each on airfare for the change, so we decided to roll with it.

New, OFFICIAL dates:
Dec 2 - 12 at POP.
MVMCP may change, but were's still debating, so I'll get back to ya.
CP is staying the same.
And, we might go see Cirque de Soliel!

But, we now have airfare, so our trip feels more real! I am so stoked!

Anyone there during the first week and a half of December who sees a 29 year old red headed girl bouncing around like a 6 year old with ADD and a sugar buzz, may as well just stop and say, "Hi, Ana"!!!:D

We will be there from Dec. 15 - 19th. We are staying at the Poly.Resort. We are attending the Candlelight Proc. on Monday the 17th. We are not planning on doing any room decorations, but I'm sure I'll be buying some type of Disney holiday hat to wear - in the spirit of the season - of course.

No one notice, because I'll be the 50 year old acting like it's her 6th birthday!!!:D

Actually at MVMCP, I'll be the one with the T-shirt that says today is my birthday and I refuse to grow old. If you see me yell "Hi Carol!!!"

Photopass CD. Though they do charge for Photopass, I believe. I know at specialy events (MNSSHP, MVMCP, P&PP, etc.) the photopass is no longer free (they offer 50% off photos).

I'm excited, Lori, but right now I'm just majorly distracted!!!! I just finished inventory at my store, I have a seminar coming up in September for the store and need to make things for that, I have 6 Christmas stockings and a quilt to make and sell to a friend of mine and we're having our first home being built!! I'm just to busy right now to think about my WDW trip!!!!

Lori, I can't get excited, YET! I've been at Ft Wilderness for 3 weeks and after breakfast at the Poly in the morning we're going home.:crying:
We'll be back at the end of Oct for a long weekend.:mpumpkin: Already looking forward to that.

By the end of Nov. I will be beyond excited and most likely in full panic mode! The Christmas trip takes a lot of creative packing, like where to put all those decorations. I think as the time gets closer everyone thats going will be jumping for joy!!!

Restaurants now requiring Business Casual dress include: Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge), California Grill (Contemporary), Citricos and Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian), Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge), Flying Fish (Boardwalk), and Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club).

*Yak and Yeti Restaurant - Animal Kingdom - Scheduled to open October 9, 2007.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I'll post it again.

I wanted to show some people here the difference on how much money you can save if you put the time and effort.

For our trip from November 9th to 15th 2003 we bought our hotel/tickets/airfair through Expedia and spent $1,877.16 (7 PH Water Park & More tickets/ASMu). On top of that we paid $56 for Mears and hand $750 to our name (food/suvineers/etc.) So total on the trip was ($1933.16 if you don't include food/suvineers); $2683.16, which wasn't bad...for a first time.

This time around:

* Our airfair will be free since my parents are paying for our roundtrip flight for a Christmas present.
* Two Adults 10 Day PH Tickets for $529
* Four PI tickets total $68; Two DQ tickets total $58.
* 11 night stay at Pop Century $65.60 per night; total $811.80
* Cirque Du Soleil® La NouBa two adult tickets total $152.
* MVMCP (total four adult tickets) $170.20.
* Sunray Transporation (RT total including tax etc.) $82
Total costs (not including food and suvineers): $1871!!!!

If I didn't spend the extra money on PI, DQ, MVMCP, or Cirque Du Soleil tickets...I know I would be saving more money...but I wouldn't be having as much fun.

Wow I am so happy I used one of the public codes and saved about $400! However that means I am now staying at All Star Sports instead of POP. But it was worth having extra spending money and we actually have an extra day of park hoppers now!

that's awesome you saved so much money! I saved over $150.00 for Coronado...but in the end, I spent roughly $50 MORE than I planned on paying...$650ish for POP as opposed to $700 for Coronado :cloud9:...WELL worth the extra $50 IMHO!

I feel like Eric Cartman when he's freaking out over the Nintendo Wii or when he's dying to eat at Casa Benita (sp?).

For me it's like, "Come on...come on! I want to be in WDW right now! Do you hear me God? Right now! Come on...it's not going fast enough!!!!"

Originally we had booked Pop for Dec.1-Dec.8, but now we are booked at CSR!

Debbie from MJ informed us that there was nothing available to us at a value during our stay, so she checked out the mods for us. We actually saved $33.88 by moving to CSR (once you figure in the price of the fridge at Pop for 7 nights!)

I also went online and priced what CSR would have been for 7 nights/8 days park hopper, with MYW + dining = $2531.83, with the discount, we saved $362.32! I'll take it!:D

Last year I went around to all the resorts and took pictures of their decorations. You can see them here:

Christmas @ WDW (http://jpag822.smugmug.com/gallery/2206127#116843451)

The gingerbread house has been mentioned as well as the carousel at the Beach Club. My other favorite was the village at the Yact Club. It was very detailed and my pictures don't do it justice at all.

Check out the link! Wonderful pictures! You will pine to be at WDW after checking these pictures out.

Okay I am officialy having a super freak out need to be in the world now moment!
I work for Starbucks at a local shopping mall, I was really excited because pumpkin spice is back and its my fav. fall flavour. That reminded me of my Disney trip last year in October so I started thinking about that...on break I walked across the mall to The Disney Store and decided that would be a quick fix. WRONG it made me want to go more than ever and NOW! I need to walk down main street and have a chocolate eared mickey marshmallow treat! I want to go and stand by the bronze chip and dale statues and watch all that is Disney. At this pace I'm never gonna survive til December!

I'm right there with you, sister. I'm at 104--in a few hours 103, and I'm starting to get crazy. The Halloween decorations is coming out, and pretty soon with be the MNSSHP, so you know sooner or later it will be MVMCP. I listen to some podcasts about WDW and it helps fill in the Disney void. I suggest clothing that can easily be layered. The temps are usually pretty mild, but can fluctuate (sp?) quite a bit between the morning, afternoon and evening. I like things like zip up sweatshirts a lot, as they can easily be added, removed, opened, etc.

Bring at least 2 pair of comfortable shoes for everyone and I usually bring extra socks. Between water rides and the occasional rain, I like to make sure I've got dry feet whenever possible.

Bring sunscreen, don't let the idea that it's "winter" throw you off. The pools are heated, so bring the swimsuits along, just don't expect to spend EVERY day in the pool, and if it were me, I'd prepare the kids ahead of time for the idea that they'll probably be able to use the pool a few times, but not every day.

I also try to remember to bring Aleve, Ibuprophen, Asprin, etc. It's pretty expensive if you need to buy it onsite, and if you've ever waited in line for IASW near a crying toddler for any length of time, you can appreciate the value Tylonol!

Update for all!!! As of today (Sunday 9/23), on the Travel Channel from 2-8pm there will be a marathon of Disney. Granted, the majority of the shows/specials are older, but Travel Channel and Disney has been known to update the information on the video. They will be showing the details of some of the deluxe resorts, behind the scenes for WDW and DLR. There will also be behind the scenes at AK. And lots lots more!

As of today, if anyone wants to be added on the list, I will NOT be able to put in the request. I've already filled up the max amount of words on the first page, so unforuntately I cannot add any other users on the list. I tried making room, and though of changing information, but when the information wasn't on the front page, I got nothing but questions regarding the subject matter. Though, I'm sure closer to December, stuff will be changed with more new updated information. Also, there may be some people who may cancel/change their information before December arrives.

From Scream Scape:

Park News - (9/25/07) Screamscape has been informed that the management at the Magic Kingdom has decided once again to not run the Christmas version of the Country Bear Jamboree for the second year in the row. The lower level management protested of course, reminding them of all the complaints they had last year when the Christmas show was given the budget ax, but apparently this was shrugged off because those were just ‘verbal complaints’. Apparently Disney management feels that verbal complaints hold less water since they carry no physical presence and are often made hastily, while anyone who sends in a written complain is taken more seriously since they have the paperwork to deal with as well as the fact that the guest took the extra time to actually write something and send it in.
Since this is the second year in a row that they have tried to skip out on the Christmas show, it pretty much leads one to conclude that they are ready to get rid of the show forever and may never bring it back if something isn’t done. So if you would like to see the Christmas version of the Country Bear Jamboree show brought back to the park then please send your written comments to:

Guest Communications
PO Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

You can also send an e-mail complaint as well, but know that the snail-mail method is the one taken most seriously.

What's the GF photo session? 74 more days!:mickey:

The Grand Floridian is scheduling portrait times with families. A professional photographer (Photopass) takes you to several places in the GF for family photos. I've seen some that were posed and some that were not. The session lasts about 20 minutes. The sitting fee is $50. If you don't have a PP then it will cost around $150 bucks (at least to my understanding.) If you pre-ordered the PP CD, the sitting fee is waived and the photos are added to the CD. I've read that a $25 fee will soon be charged to folks with the CD. To order in advance you have to call 407-824-1700 at exactly 30 days before your arrival.

I've read that a $25 fee will soon be charged to folks with the CD. To order in advance you have to call 407-824-1700 at exactly 30 days before your arrival.

Hmmm....I've never heard of this! Sounds like a great opportunity to get some of those good family picture's. Has anyone does this before? Anyone got some picture's they want to share? Thanks for all the info. You all are great!
